The Legend Lives On!

Since 1959 Burger Boy has been dishing out classic drive in grub via classic drive in service. The business has been around since the 60s, but it wasn’t until the 90s that the Gonzales Family got ahold of it and made it what it is today. Eager to make this 700 square foot restaurant the next big thing, owners and proprietors, Mr. and Mrs. G got to work cleaning, rewriting recipes, hiring, and cleaning again. Admittedly having a slow start, no one can argue that once the ball started rolling there was no one who could stop it. A quarter century later and Burger Boy Drive-In is still winning Best Burger and Best Service in Cortez along with holding an abundant and consistent following from the locals and tourists alike!

Burger Boy Drive- in’s claim to fame: The Biggie Special. Two quarter pound beef patties, deli mustard, tangy pickles, fresh onions, a lofty bed of iceberg, and a sweet slice of tomato all in between a toasted sesame seed bun. Not to mention a side of crinkle cut fries and a 32oz fountain drink. Try adding bacon and green chile for a real treat.
